Terms of use
The ground rules for using this website and my personal bots and applications.
Effective and last updated:
01About these terms
These terms apply to tycholoke.com and Discord bots and other applications operated by Tycho Löke that explicitly link to them (the “services”). The services are personal projects, independent of AvePoint. Questions, support requests, and reports of misuse can be sent to [email protected].
By accessing or using a service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using it and remove or revoke any bot access you control. Any feature-specific terms will be shown before that feature is used and apply alongside these terms.
02Who may use the services
You must be legally able to agree to these terms. For a Discord bot, you must be at least 13 and meet Discord’s minimum age in your country, if higher. If you need a parent or guardian’s permission under applicable law, obtain it before use.
If you add or configure a bot for a server or organisation, you must have authority to do so and grant its permissions. Use only the permissions needed for your intended features, and consider how the bot’s actions affect other members.
03Using bots on Discord
Your use of Discord remains subject to Discord’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. These services are not sponsored, endorsed, or operated by Discord.
A bot’s profile, help information, and settings describe its available features. Commands may post publicly, change server settings, or take other actions according to the bot’s permissions. Check the command and destination before confirming an action. Administrators remain responsible for managing their communities and reviewing automated actions. You may remove a bot or revoke its access at any time.
04Acceptable use
Use the services lawfully and respect other people’s privacy and rights. You must not:
- Use them for harassment, threats, discrimination, scams, spam, or other prohibited or unlawful content or activity.
- Collect or disclose other people’s personal information without authority, scrape Discord data, or use a bot to bypass privacy settings or platform rules.
- Steal credentials, impersonate others, exploit vulnerabilities, distribute malware, or interfere with the services or their infrastructure.
- Evade access controls, restrictions, enforcement actions, or API rate limits, or overload the services.
- Upload or submit content you do not have the necessary rights or permissions to use.
Report security issues or misuse privately to [email protected]. Include the service name and enough information to investigate, without sending passwords, tokens, or unnecessary personal data.
05Your content and the website’s content
You keep ownership of content you submit. You give permission to process, transmit, store where needed for the stated feature, and display that content only as necessary to operate the service you request, in accordance with the privacy policy. This permission does not transfer ownership or allow unrelated commercial use of your content.
Unless otherwise indicated, the website’s original writing, designs, branding, and service code belong to Tycho Löke or their respective owners. You may link to the website and use material as permitted by law or an applicable licence. Other reuse requires permission. Third-party names and trademarks belong to their owners.
06Privacy
The privacy policy explains data handling and how to request deletion. Do not submit sensitive or confidential information unless a service explicitly supports it with appropriate safeguards. Server members may see public commands and their results. Removing a bot does not necessarily delete existing records; contact [email protected] for deletion requests.
07Availability and changes to services
Features may change, be limited, or be discontinued. Availability depends on hosting providers, Discord, and other infrastructure. There is no guaranteed uptime, support response time, or continued availability unless separately agreed in writing. Where practical, reasonable notice will be given of changes that materially affect users.
Access may be restricted or suspended to address misuse, security risks, legal obligations, or platform requirements. Restrictions will be proportionate to the circumstances where reasonably possible. Contact [email protected] if you believe a restriction is mistaken. Data will be handled under the privacy policy when a service closes.
08Any paid features
These terms do not themselves create a paid subscription or charge. If a paid feature is offered, its price, billing terms, cancellation rules, and any applicable refund or withdrawal rights must be disclosed before purchase. Those terms, applicable consumer law, and Discord’s monetisation requirements will apply.
09Information, outputs, and responsibility
The website shares personal perspectives for general information. Content and bot outputs may be incomplete, incorrect, or outdated and should be checked before relying on them, particularly for important decisions. They do not replace professional advice. External links and third-party services are governed by their own terms.
To the extent permitted by law, the services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted operation. To the extent permitted by law, Tycho Löke is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the services. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or removes mandatory consumer rights.
10Changes to these terms
The date above shows when these terms were last updated. Material changes will be communicated through the affected service where appropriate before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law. Any change requiring your express agreement will be presented for that agreement.
11Questions and disputes
Contact [email protected] first with a question, complaint, or dispute so it can be addressed. Nothing in these terms limits any mandatory protections, legal remedies, or rights to bring a claim in the courts available to you under applicable law.
